What energy sources do heat pumps use?

Air

Sun-heated air is available everywhere. When the heat demand is greatest in winter, air is the coolest source of heat. However, the air to water heat pump can still draw enough energy to run in heating mode at an outdoor air temperature of -20 ° C.
